Built in the 15th Century, Reis Magos Fort is not the biggest fort in Goa, but it's rich history makes it a great place to visit and go down memory lane. This is one place we highly recommend you visit on your trip to Goa and it is just 5 km away from the villa. So that's a win-win!
One of the top things to do in Goa, MOG or the Museum Of Goa located in the Pilerne Industrial Estate is located just 5 mins away from our home. Here you can enjoy modern Goan art, paintings and installations. They also have a cafe where you can sit, eat and enjoy.
If you want to experience a local Goan community then make your way to the Pilerene Flea Market which takes place every Thursday at St. Baptists Church in Pilerne. Here you can shop for cute curios, local produce, handmade crafts and also savour homemade Goan snacks and sweets.Â
If you want to enjoy the beach with calm waves away from the crowded beaches of Baga and Calangute, then Coco beach near Reis Magos Fort is a great new find. Although the beach is a bit rocky, but there is a calm section where the beach is flat and safe to swim in.
Goa's only mall, Mall De Goa is a great place to let your hair down and go shopping for clothes, footwear, toys and it's also a great place to grab a bite or two.
North Goa is filled with great places to enjoy local Goan cuisine. So, whether you are craving a Fish Thali or Chicken Cafreal, there are many restaurants around the villa such as Kismoor, Chef Peter's Kitchen, Sanil Bar and Restaurant, O Coqueiro and many more for you to gorge your hearts out.
